Tacking
Now, the boat has changed one tack and the helmsman will pass the bow through what is called the eye of the wind and the sails will be on the other side. It takes some co-ordination, skill and training to do.
Remember when tacking that, the helmsman and any crew should stay out of the way of any lines that they may get tangled in. This can cause serious injury and even cause the boat to flip over.
